The Salus Comprehensive Wellness Package
This is our most basic package, which includes all the tools you will need to analyze where your company’s current health issues are and how to move forward. While we recommend that the package be completed in its entirety to provide you with the best evaluation and programming, each of these services are available a la carte depending on your company’s specific needs.
INCLUDES:
Cholestech LDX Biometric Screen – Provides: Total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, non-HDL cholesterol, triglycerides, LDL cholesterol, TC/HDL ratio, and glucose. In addition, the client is provided with a Blood Pressure Screening and Coronary Heart Disease (CHD) Risk Assessment using their biometric screen results.
Functional Movement Screen (FMS) – The typical western worker suffers from low back pain, knee pain and headaches. Many of these symptoms are related to poor posture and muscular control and are easily treated with a simple corrective exercise plan. The National Safety Council stated that in 1996, backaches alone cost industry more that $1.2 billion in production and services and $275 million in worker’s compensation. Source: The American Council on Exercise, ACE Fitness Matters, January/February 2006.

The FMS is a series of movement tests designed to look at movement patterns that are key to normal function. It identifies not only individuals who may be at risk of injury as activity levels rise, but individuals who have current weaknesses, imbalances, and overall limitations that are impacting their daily quality of life. The most basic movement pattern limitations can reduce the effects of functional training, physical conditioning, and distort proprioception (body awareness). Each employee will be prescribed a beneficial corrective exercise program specifically targeted to restore mechanically sound movement patterns based on their needs.
Consultation – Once the Biometric Screen and FMS are completed, each client will receive a consultation detailing his/her results and suggestions on what actions he/she can take to improve overall health and wellness.
Quarterly Newsletter – Education is a key component to a successful wellness program. Salus will deliver our quarterly newsletter, Wellness For Life, to your company via your preferred mode (e-mail, disk, or paper copy). This quarterly newsletter is an in-depth look at current health and wellness issues aimed at keeping you and your employees ahead of the game. In addition, each newsletter provides healthy recipes, workout tips, and product highlights to further enhance each individual’s wellness goals.
Monthly Educational Articles – As education is truly the building blocks of any wellness program, Salus will deliver a monthly educational article taking an in-depth look at an important wellness issue. In order to truly provide a comprehensive wellness program we believe it is essential to educate on all components of wellness from physical to financial to emotional. Hence, these articles range anywhere from understanding cholesterol levels to how to plan for retirement. Each article features a question and answer section and valuable resources pertaining to the article topic that continue the education process.
Year-End Evaluation - At the end of each programming year your Personal Wellness Coach will sit down with you and provide you with analytical data showing how the changes you have implemented are already improving your company’s wellness and profitability. At this time we will discuss changes in your company’s culture and programming needs for the next year.
