She has been working in the health and wellness field for the past 8 years and has been coaching for the past 10 years. Briana is the 2006 Professional Duathlon National Champion, and was ranked in the top 10 collegiately and top 40 nationally on the track. She qualified for the Short Course Triathlon World Championships and Duathlon World Championships in her first season and has since been a member of a world team every year she has competed.
Briana understands that wellness programs are all started with the best of intentions. Employees are excited to start the programs and administrators are excited to see the returns. Often somewhere along the way the steam runs out. As an athlete and a coach, Briana understands the power of setbacks. She believes that it is through these plateaus that the biggest gains in wellness are seen. Briana considers her greatest achievement to be "never letting a setback get me down," and she uses this philosophy to instill positive change in her clients.
Briana also believes in the individuality of counseling clients on wellness. No two people are alike and hence each will need to find their own path to wellness. Wellness is more than just exercise and nutrition; it is mental health, financial stability, family and personal history.
